Paver Cleaning & Sealing in Jacksonville, FL

Paver driveways, patios and pool decks look great until moss, weeds and fading set in. We clean them, refill the joints and seal them the right way.

Why pavers need more care than plain concrete

Pavers sit on sand and are held together by sand in the joints. Strong pressure can blow that sand out. Moss and weeds grow in the gaps, and sun and rain fade the color. The right job protects the joints as well as the surface.

The four steps

  • Clean the surface and joints with the right method
  • Dry fully. Sealer and joint sand need dry pavers
  • Re-sand the joints so the pavers lock together again
  • Seal to protect color and slow stains and weeds

White haze: efflorescence or sealer trouble?

Efflorescence is a white powder from minerals in the paver or base that rises to the surface. A cloudy or peeling look can also come from old sealer that trapped moisture. They look alike but need different fixes, so we check before we treat.

To seal or not to seal

Sealer can slow stains, hold joint sand and deepen the color. It also needs redoing every few years. On pool decks, ask for a slip-resistant finish. In Jacksonville humidity and afternoon storms, we plan around a dry stretch of weather.

FAQ

Questions We Get About This

Can pavers be sealed right after cleaning?

Only once they are fully dry. That can take longer in our humidity. We follow the sealer maker instructions.

Will washing remove the joint sand?

Strong pressure can. That is why we control the pressure and re-sand after.

How long does sealer last?

It depends on the product, sun and traffic. Plan on redoing it every few years.

Do I have to seal?

No. Cleaning alone helps a lot. Sealing is extra protection.
